Collecting parts!

Here's the Metro before we started to strip it down... Cheers to Mike for the tip off on the car.

Me pulling the seatbelts out...

My first bargain find! Two brand new Metro hub assemblies for £4.99. Even came with new bearings and balljoints.

A friend of a friend was about to send a K reg Metro to the scrapyard, but not before I ripped all the useful bits off it and the V5 for my Libra...

2002 MGTF 160 engine with only 1400 miles was a good find. Bought from Andy at www.roverbreakers.com.

I also got these 4 pot AP Racing brakes off the same car...

As well as the rear brakes and other bits and pieces that I need

Loading up the van at GTM...

...and arriving at its new home!

I carpeted the garage in anticipation of me spending a fair amount of time on the floor!

4 axle stands hold up the monocoque nicely

Tub full of lots of smaller grp panels!

Rear end waiting...

While at the Autosport International show I was going to try out the Recaro Speed seats while I was there before ordering (cheapest I found them was £300 each plus about £65 for each runner). My luck was in as Recaro had a surplus of Honda Accord Type R seats and were selling them for £550 a pair including runner! Normal price for the seats is about £600 each, they are trimmed in an Alcantara like cloth and I should be able to get them early next week, their office is very local to me.
